The story
In 2018, scientists discovered that puffins' beaks can glow in the dark. However, this discovery was common knowledge among captains of the past, who - after realizing this practical function of the puffin - quickly replaced the parrot on their shoulder with the new and modern “puffin”. The grove was ideal company on night watches, where it served as a book lamp if the captain intended to read nautical charts or a pirate novel.Highlights
